Laura Vandervoort

In 1997, she made her acting debut at age 13. It was her first acting appearance at the age of 13 in 1997. Following her studies and being a background actor in Canadian shows like Road to Avonlea, Harriet the Spy and Goosebumps She was also offered speaking roles on the Canadian horror television series Afraid Of The Dark? and Goosebumps. Both series were aired by YTV. There were commercials too as she also appeared in guest roles on films such at Mutant X and Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story. Goosebumps was also part of her career. Vandervoort's first film, The Lookout, was launched in the year 2006. The film starred Jeff Daniels along with Matthew Goode and Isla Fischer. A variety of other TV appearances, including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation have led Vandervoort to be cast as Clark Kent's Kryptonian counterpart "Kara Kent" (the woman destined to later become Supergirl) on The CW Serial Drama Smallville. The actress was a regular on the show in season seven as well as on"Bloodline," the "Bloodline" episode in season eight. The actress returned to Smallville for two additional episodes during the final season and was also her tenth. Following The CW, Vandervoort shot the sequel of the film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2 : The Reef. The Jazzman was her next independent film.
