April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star from the United States She is one of a small category of females who have won medals in several Olympics. Alix klineman, who is taking part for the very first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games, will try to earn her third gold medal. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic Gold. Since she's 39 years old she could have her last chance. Her confidence is high, however. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that if the team plays well or at all they could win a gold. It's also going to be a matter of chance. Ross was a Californian born in Costa Mesa, California in 1982. She grew up in Costa Mesa along with her parents and younger sister. Ross went on to play in numerous sports in Newport Harbor High School. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball as well as basketball as well as track and running. While she did well at indoor volleyball but it was apparent that her performance was above the average. In her own biography, during high school she played volleyball as an outside setter (middle blocker) and setting (outside blocker). Thanks to her hard work, she was honored as in 1999 as the Gatorade International Player of the year in Circle of Champions. The year 2000 was the time she won her the Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may be working on a project in 2017, but Ross was already an established athlete at the beach prior to when they teamed up. She's won big competitions with different players. The other has become an iconic player in the world of volleyball. From 2007 until 2013 she played with Jennifer Kessy, who is currently her coach. Kessy and Ross were an impressive force on the international circuit, winning the world championship in 2009 as a team. The duo would go through to take home a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. They were beaten out for the gold medal by the legendary team of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's resignation. They went on to earn bronze in beach volleyball in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a player for the USC Trojans in college years after she graduated high school. Ross's time in the Trojans was amazing. In 2000 she was named Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman Of The Year and an All-American. The Trojans could also get to the Final Four with her help. Her personal tragedy was a crushing loss in her sophomore season, but she still repeated as an All-American. In her final two seasons with the Trojans, she helped them to win two consecutive titles. Her individual achievements have cemented her status as a legend in volleyball. Ross was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross was an international relations major at USC. Unfortunately, Ross mother Margie did not get to see her daughter ascend to the highest levels of beach volleyball fame. Ross's mom passed away due to cancer of the breast when she was in her sophomore year at USC. Ross is still awed by her mother who died. Margie has been an inspiration in her life and on the beaches.
